The BC Lupus Society is the only organization in the province dedicated solely to providing lupus education and support services. We have been in operation for 44 years and we are committed to sponsoring research and providing hope for those affected by lupus. The BC Lupus Society is incorporated provincially and provides a wide variety of services through its Public Education, Support and Awareness Program which benefits an estimated 6,000 to 8,000 BC lupus sufferers and up to 40,000 BC residents when including the patient’s extended personal network of family and caregivers. Support of the BC Lupus Society is particularly critical now more than ever, when people affected by lupus have found themselves among the most vulnerable. Funds raised through gaming events will go directly to our BC Lupus Scholar, Dr. Antonio Aviña-Zubieta, and his team as they further research that brings us 1 step closer to eradicating the disease.
